The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act Voted on by the Full House
H.R. 503, the House version of The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act which would ban the slaughter of horses for human consumption, finally came up for a vote before the full House of Representatives on Thursday, September 7, 2006. This historic legislation passed without amendments. Read more. However, this legislation did not pass the Senate in 2006 so it is back to square one in the House.
